(Ann Arbor, MI) The Concordia volleyball team played their 2nd game in two days as they hosted (RV) Lourdes in a conference match up. The Cardinals came into the match after taking Lawrence Tech to 5 sets the night before.
Gabrielle den Boer (SO/Canton, MI) led the Cardinals attack with 7 kills followed by Lena Thompson (JR/Howard City, MI) with 4. Kylie Frank (SR/Chelsea, MI) paced the Cardinals with 10 assists and Tara Schatzle (SO/Brooklyn, MI) recorded 15 digs.

1st Set – CUAA 12, LU 25
The Gray Wolves jumped out to a quick lead on the Cardinals and didn't look back as they took the first set by a score of 25-12.
2nd Set – CUAA 14, LU 25
Concordia went back and forth with Lourdes to start out the second set. The Gray Wolves went on a quick run forcing the Cardinals to take a timeout trailing 9-5. Coming out of the time out, the Cardinals kept Lourdes in striking range before the Gray Wolves went on another run and won the set 25-14.
3rd Set – CUAA 19, LU 25
After Concordia started out the 3rd set up 4-3, the Gray Wolves rallied and went up 7-4, resulting in a Cardinal time out. The Cardinals trailed just 19-14 midway through the third set before Lourdes won the set and the match 25-19.
What's Next?
The Cardinals will be on the road for their next game as they travel to Grand Rapids, MI to face off against (RV) Aquinas College on September 19th. The match is set to start at 7:00 PM.
