(Ann Arbor, MI) Head Coach Danielle Cook and the Concordia University volleyball team have announced the addition of Emma Schlie from Milwaukee Lutheran High School.

Emma will come to Ann Arbor from Milwaukee, WI where she attended Milwaukee Lutheran High School. While playing for the Red Knights, she was a member of the varsity team for three years and was named Woodland Conference Honorable Mention. Emma also led Milwaukee Lutheran in aces and digs in 2017. Kelsey Barth, head coach of the Red Knights had this to say about her former player; "I couldn't be more proud of Emma for choosing to continue her volleyball career at Concordia. She is going to do great things."

As first year head coach Danielle Cook continues preparation for the 2018 season, she looks forward to having Emma join the team saying "we are excited to have Emma be a part of this team. Not only will she help on the court but she will also have an impact off of the court."

Emma is the daughter of David and Abbie (Concordia Alum) Shlie and has three siblings; Ben, Steven, and Evelyn. She plans to pursue a degree in entrepreneurship while during her time at Concordia. "I am so blessed and thankful that God gave me clarity on where I need to be and that I still get to play the game I love" said Emma.
