(ANN ARBOR, Mich.) -- Head Coach Danielle Cook and the Concordia University volleyball team have announced the addition of Michaela Werner of Munising, Mich.
Michaela will join the Cardinals from Munising High School where she played under direction of Ted Williams. Werner enjoyed a stellar career at Munising as she was named All-Conference Honorable Mention ('17), 2nd Team All-Conference ('18), All-Region ('17 & '18), All-State Honorable Mention ('18), All-State Academic Individual ('18), Team Most Improved ('17), Team Most Valuable Player ('18), District Champions (4x), Regional Champs ('17), and Semi-State Finalist ('17). "Michaela will be an excellent addition to the Concordia volleyball program" said high school coach Ted Williams. "I look forward to watching her play the next level."
Michaela is the daughter of Mark and Cindy Werner (CUAA Alumni, 1987) and has six siblings; Abi (CUAA '12), Nate, Zack (CUAA '15), Leah (CUAA '18), Joel (CUAA '19) and twin brother Eli. She plans to pursue a degree in business while attending Concordia. "We are proud of Michaela's hard work, determination, and never quit attitude on and off of the court" said Michaela's mom, Cindy. "We are excited she gets to be a part of the Concordia family."
