Volleyball signs Mara Whisler to 2019-20 recruiting class

(ANN ARBOR, Mich.) -- Head Coach Danielle Cook and the Concordia University team have announced the addition of Mara Whisler of Dearborn Heights, Mich.

Mara will join the Cardinals from Annapolis High School where she played under direction of Sarah Bennett. Whisler played middle blocker throughout her time at Annapolis.

Mara is the daughter of Dan and Karen Whisler and has two siblings; Amanda and Kaitlyn. "We are proud of Mara and look forward to watching her play at Concordia" said Mara's parents. "We are anxious to see the growth academically and athletically over the next few years." Mara plans to pursue a degree in athletic training while at Concordia.

"We are excited for Mara to be a part of our volleyball program" said Coach Cook. "Mara is a dedicated player and has a growth mindset. We look forward to seeing her grow and develop as a player and young lady."
