(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Concordia Cardinals Men's Lacrosse teams will play in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Championship game on Saturday as they will play host for the third straight season. The Cardinals followed up their win over Taylor by downing the second-seeded Madonna Crusaders on Thursday by a narrow 16-15 margin.
The Cardinals have been led this postseason so far by Spencer Guppy who has 10 goals and Travis Wright and Cooper Regimbal who have six goals apiece. Ross Preston has added in six assists in the two games as well. Goalie Joseph Loria has accumulated 21 saves in the two games.

About the Saints
Aquinas was the five seed coming into the tournament with a 11-4 overall record and a 4-3 WHAC record. The Saints are currently ranked 8th in the NAIA. Peter Treppa is in his first season as the head coach for Aquinas.
The Saints two wins in the tournament were against #4 Lawrence Tech and #1 Indiana Tech. The First Round of the playoffs had AQ take down Lawrence Tech 19-9 before upending top-seeded Indiana Tech 12-11.
The Saints offense is led by TJ Murphy and Cade Linnemeyer who have tallied 32 and 30 goals respectively on the year with Brady Waling (23), Collin Wildman (22), Oliver Modderman (21), and Nico Kittredge (20) have all scored at least 20 goals. Waling is the Saints leading point scorer with 47 points on the year.
Blake Szymanski and Collin Wildman are two of the top defenders for the Saints with 24 and 21 caused turnovers. Reed Chastain is the Saints faceoff specialist, winning 180 faceoffs this season and has a 61.9% faceoff percentage this season. Collin Wildman is second on the team with 59 ground balls. Austin Hynote is the Aquinas goalkeeper and has accumulated 138 saves on the year with a 53.1% save percentage and a 8.61 goal against average.
About the Cardinals
Concordia took third place in the conference with a 5-2 WHAC record and 10-5 record overall. They are currently ranked 7th in the NAIA. Ty McGuire is now in his seventh season at Concordia and has a 54-37 record overall.
The Cardinals offense features a pair of players who have tallied 67 points on the season in Cooper Regimbal (53 goals, 14 assists) and Travis Wright (48 goals and 19 assists). Four other Cardinals players have recorded at least 40 points with Spencer Guppy leading the pack with 50 and Andrew Simmons close behind with 48. Guppy has scored 33 goals on the season while Simmons has 31.
Mason Blow and Josh Dues lead the team with 16 and 14 caused turnovers respectively. Gavin Scally has been the faceoff specialist for the Cards, winning 56.7% of his attempts and leading the team with 154 ground balls. Nick Bradford is second on the team with 33 GBs as a short-stick defensive midfielder. Joseph Loria has been between the pipes for the Cardinals, stopping 58.8% of the shots he faced and allowing 11.18 goals per game.
