(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced their yearly awards and several Concordia Cardinals were named among the two All-Conference teams. The awards were highlighted by a trio of Cardinals being named to the First Team All-Conference.
These players were voted on by coaches before the start of postseason. All stats mentioned are as of the final regular season game on April 19.
FIRST TEAM
Cooper Regimbal | Junior | Grand Blanc, Michigan
The Junior makes his first appearance on an All-Conference team. Regimbal is fourth in the conference this season as he has tallied 47 goals on the year with 14 assists to total 61 points, which is 8th in the WHAC. In addition, he is tied for seventh in man-up goals this season with 6.
Travis Wright | Senior | Troy, Michigan
Wright is making appearance number three on an All-Conference team with this being the second straight season on the First Team. Wright has tallied 44 goals this season, which is eighth in the WHAC, while assisting on 15 goals. He also leads the conference in man-up goals with 9.
Gavin Scally | Junior | Lambertville, Michigan
Scally is appearing on the WHAC All-Conference First Team for the first time in his career. He leads the WHAC in both ground balls and faceoff wins this season with 131 and 215 respectively. Scally has recorded a 57.3% faceoff percentage this season.
SECOND TEAM
Spencer Guppy | Junior | Ada, Michigan
This is the first time Guppy is making an appearance on an WHAC All-Conference team. Guppy has been another solid piece for the Cardinals this season tallying 23 goals and 14 assists for 37 points, which is 23rd in the WHAC this season.
Nick Bradford | Senior | Belleville, Michigan
Bradford is appearing on the WHAC Second Team for the first time in his career. Bradford, a short-stick defensive midfielder, recorded 30 ground balls this season along with six caused turnovers. His 30 ground balls were 34th in the WHAC this season.
Joseph Loria | Graduate Student | Fenton, Michigan
Loria makes his second appearance on the WHAC Second Team after being named to the same team back in 2023. Loria's goals against average were fourth-best in the WHAC this season at 10.96 goals against average. Loria also tallied 129 saves this season and a 61.4% save percentage which was top in WHAC.
CHAMPIONS OF CHARACTER
Michael Hart was recognized as the team's WHAC Champion of Character. The junior was honored for his commitment to the five core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
ALL-ACADEMIC
The WHAC announced their All-Academic teams, which involve being a sophomore in Academic standing and having a cumulative GPA of 3.25. The six Cardinals honored were Patrick Broderick, Josh Dues, Michael Hart, Richard Johnson, Ross Preston, and Gavin Scally.
