Gavin Scally earns first WHAC Defensive Player of the Week honor of career

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced their final weekly Player of the Week's, of the season, for Men's Lacrosse and Concordia Cardinals Gavin Scally earned WHAC Defensive Player of the Week honors for the first time in his Cardinal career.

 

Scally, a junior from Lambertville, Michigan, went 41-64 on faceoff this past week for a 64.1% faceoff percentage. He won 25 faceoff's in the regular season finale against Lawrence Tech on Saturday and picked up a career high 19 ground balls, which ties the single game record. Scally recorded 32 total ground balls throughout the pair of games and scored a goal against LTU. 

 

Scally joins Joe Loria and Travis Wright who have earned WHAC Player of the Week honors this season.

 

The Men's Lacrosse team will be back on the field tomorrow, April 22, for the First Round of the WHAC Tournament with a game against Taylor at 4 PM.
