Five Cardinals named to CSC Softball Academic All-District team

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The College Sport Communicators (CSC) released their 2025 Softball Academic All-District winners on Tuesday afternoon and several Concordia Cardinals were given honors.  

 

Paige Anderson is a senior from Davison, Michigan and is in the Athletic Training program and has recorded a GPA of 3.90. 

 

Elyse Brittain, a senior from Lansing, Michigan and has a cumulative GPA of 3.52 while studying Sport & Entertainment Business. 

 

Maddy Grueter is a Social Work & Psychology major and has a GPA of 3.97 and is a senior from Kalamazoo, Michigan. 

 

Payton Lewis is from Vicksburg, Michigan and is a senior Elementary Education major and has tallied a 3.64 cumulative GPA. 

 

Megan Martin is a senior from Grand Blanc, Michigan and is an Elementary and Special Education major and has recorded a 3.66 GPA. 

 

The 2025 Academic All-District Softball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes Softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

 

College Sport Communicators is a 3,200+ member national association for strategic, creative, and digital communicators across intercollegiate athletics in the United States and Canada. The organization was previously known as College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and was changed to its new name in August of 2022.

 

Nominees for the All-District team must have participated in at least 90% of the team's matches or start at least 66% throughout the season while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.50. The student-athlete must reach sophomore athletic eligibility to qualify for the honor.

 

The five Cardinals will now be placed on the ballot for CSC All-America consideration with those teams being released on June 17th.
