(Tuesday October 12th, Lima, OH) - The Lady Cards took on new conference foe Northwestern Ohio again on Tuesday and fell just short. The Cards have hit a bit of a rough patch lately as they lost to the Wolves of U of M Dearborn last Friday in a close match and now fell to the Racers of Northwestern Ohio.
Leading the way for the Cards last Friday against U of M Dearborn was junior Ashley Hart from Marian High School with 10 kills and 2 block solos. Junior Danielle Guss from Bedford Senior High School also had a nice game for the Cards recording 8 kills, 8 digs, and 2 aces.
Leading the way for the Cards on Tuesday against the Racers were juniors Ali Miller, Danielle Guss, and Ashley Hart. Ali Miller from Linden High School recorded 4 kills, 10 digs, 1 ace, and 2 block assists for the Cards. Danielle Guss again had a solid game for the Cards recording 6 kills, 6 digs, and an ace and Ashley Hart added 7 kills, 2 solo blocks, and 3 block assists for the Cards.
The Lady Cards have two home games this week and look to turn it around as they first play conference opponent Aquinas College on Friday at 7:00pm and then Goshen College on Saturday at 1:00pm. The Lady Cards would love to see all of their Cardinal Fans at both games and would like to remind everyone that Saturday is Homecoming! Good Luck Cards!
