(Tuesday Sept. 14^th, Grand Rapids, MI) - Concordia traveled to Grand Rapids, MI on Tuesday to take on Cornerstone University in their second conference match-up of the season. Head Coach Justin Martin stated that "The Lady Cards came out sluggish" against Conference opponent Cornerstone. Martin stated that "Cornerstone's defense and our timid-ness at the net cause us to lose the first two games 10-25 and 12-25." However, game three for the Cardinals was a different story. "The girls had lots of fire in the third game," Martin said. The Lady Cards stayed point for point with the Golden Eagles and had game three in their grasp, but at the end Cornerstone was just too much for the Cards on this day and Cornerstone won the game 19-25. Leading the way for the Cardinals was Sophomore Hannah Shiff with 12 digs and Junior Ashley Hart with 8 kills.
