(Bedford, Mich.) The men's golf team returned to Bedford for the final round of the WHAC Champinships. After posting a team total of 666 after 36 holes, the Cardinals looked to climb the leader boards. The Cardinals sat in 9th place after the first two rounds. Despite unfavorable weather conditions, the Cardinals put forth another strong effort. The Cardinals totaled 339 in the final round which kept them in 9th overall.
Joshua Line posted a 79 in the final round which tied his career low. His three day total of 245 now places him 4th best all-time in program history. Nick Althouse recorded an 80 in the final round which was good enough for 30th overall in the competitive field. Nick's three day total put him at 246 which ranks him 5th best all time.
After two personal best rounds, Dalton Stiegler recorded an 88 in the final round to give him a three day total of 253. His three day total ranks him 8th best in program history. Will Heiber and Zach Burk rounded on the Cardinals scoring with final round totals of 92 and 98 respectively.
The team's three day total of 1005 ranks 2nd best in program history.
Upon the conclusion of the tournament, the WHAC announced its season awards. Nick Althouse was named to the WHAC all-academic team for his work in the classroom while maintaining at least a cumulative GPA of 3.25
Joshua Line was also recognized as the team's WHAC Champion of Character. The sophomore standout was honored for his commitment to the five core values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
