(Ypsilanti, MI) The Concordia Men's Golf team returned to the Washtenaw Golf Club Saturday afternoon for the LTU Tournament. The tournament featured seven full teams in Concordia, Cleary, two Lawrence Tech squads, Indiana Tech, Rochester, and Siena Heights. Concordia ended in fourth place in the team competition with a total of 332 strokes on the day.
Nick Althouse paced the Cardinals, ending his round at 78 and a fourth-place finish in the individual competition. Joshua Line came in at 81 and a stake at tenth individually. Line was followed by Perry Melcher and Andrew Burk who finished at 85 and 88 strokes respectively, rounding out the counted rounds for Concordia's score. Layne Pries put up a score of 91 as the fifth of Concordia's top group. Zach Burk and Travis Lysiak had scores of 91 and 92 respectively on the Cardinal 'B' squad.
Lawrence Tech won the team competition with a team total of 307 and the top three individual scores. Louis Pacheco led the Blue Devils with a 75, winning the individual competition.
The Cardinals will return to action on October 5th in Benton Harbor, Michigan, for the Harbor Shores Intercollegiate.
