(Ann Arbor, MI) - The National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) announced the Track & Field Athlete of the Week honors for the week of January 6-12 and Concordia Cardinals Jayde Ullenbruch took home the NCCAA Track Athlete of the Week honors, while Quinn Stefanski earned NCCAA Field Athlete of the Week.
Ullenbruch, a sophomore from Port Huron, Michigan, competed in a trio of events including the 60-meter hurdles, 200-meter dash, and Long Jump. She recorded a pair of qualifying marks yet again in the 60-meter hurdles and the Long Jump. She placed 14th in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 10.22. In the Long Jump, she recorded a jump of 4.96 and a 12th-place finish. Her time in the 200-meter dash was 28.30.
Stefanski, a sophomore from Ypsilanti, Michigan, competed in two different events at the Polar Dog Invitational, including the Shot Put and Weight Throw. Stefanski placed 16th in the Weight Throw with a toss of 14.05 meters, which is an NCCAA qualifying mark. Stefanski's second event was the Shot Put where she had a toss of 10.40 meters.
The Track & Field teams head to the SVSU Jet's Pizza Invitational on January 31st for their next competition.
