(Ann Arbor, MI) The Concordia University softball team is excited to announce the signing of Cassidy Kane from Ypsilanti Lincoln High School.

Kane enjoyed successful Sophomore and Junior campaigns for the Railsplitters as she earned All District Awards both years as well as Honorable Mention All-Conference. The pitcher was coached by Wes Strickland at Lincoln and was on the Michigan Generals for club ball.

Cardinal head coach Hailey Cavanagh is excited to add Cassidy to the program. "Cassidy," said Cavanagh, "is a versatile athlete who is not only successful on the mound but can play other positions really well and give us a great look at the plate. She's going to be a great addition to our program and we couldn't be more excited she's a Cardinal!"

Cassidy is the daughter of Matthew and Melissa Kane and has two siblings; Savanna and Lexi. She plans to study Pre-med/Biology during her time at Concordia.
