Cardinals add Playford to 2020 recruiting class

Head softball coach Hailey Cavanagh and the softball program have announced the signing of Koryn Playford from Jackson College.

Koryn was a member of the varsity team at Jonesville High School before continuing her softball career at Jackson. Playford played at second base and short stop while being coached by Chelsea Brancheau. She was also a member of the Adrian Lookouts travel team.

Koryn's production at the collegiate level was something that caught the Cardinal staff's eye. "Koryn had an extremely impressive freshman campaign at Jackson with 74 hits, and additionally brings great speed," said Coach Cavanagh. "She is a high caliber player who's going to make an immediate impact for us in the middle infield. We're excited to have her join the Cardinals in the fall!"

Koryn is the daughter of Bryan and Mary Playford and has two siblings; Carson and Kaden. Playford plans on studying Early Childhood Education at Concordia.
