Kyle Winslow opened on the mound for the Cardinals in game two. The southpaw went 6.2 impressive innings only allowing three hits and one earned run while striking out four. Josh Burke hit a solo home run in the second inning to break another scoreless tie. Tyler Wressel then hit one in the fourth inning to move the score to 2-0. Justin Kozlowski's triple in the fifth inning to score Logan Hylek put CUAA up 3-0. Jake Kuhlman followed that up with a clutch single to score Kozlowski.
In the seventh inning Logan Hylek scored on an error by the Warriors. A home run from Indiana Tech in the bottom of the seventh inning made the score 5-1 before VanSlambrouck came on to flip the momentum back the Cardinals way. Gus Simon answered right away with a single to score Tyler Wressel. The bottom of the eighth inning saw a bases loaded and no outs situation for the Warriors, but Rozmys struck out the next three batters to give CUAA a huge momentum shift. In the ninth inning Kuhlman piled it on with a sac fly to score Kozlowski and make the score 6-1, where it would end after another shutdown inning from Rozmys.
The Cardinals are back in action tomorrow at Jimmy John's Field against Lawrence Tech to close out the regular season, as the Cardinals need one more win to clinch their fourth straight 40-win season.
