Connor Rogus named to CSC Academic All-America Team

(Ann Arbor, MI) - The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2024-25 Academic All-America NAIA Men's At-Large Team, and Cardinals sophomore bowler Connor Rogus was named to the CSC Academic All-America Second Team.

Rogus, a sophomore from Macomb, Michigan, made the All-America team for the first time this season following a record-setting season. Rogus had the second-best season in Cardinal bowling history after averaging 211.68 pins per game over his 68 games bowled. He would also go on to record a perfect "300" game at the fifth American Heartland Tournament.

Rogus ends his Cardinal career with the highest scoring average in program history with a 208. 92 over 132 career games. In addition, Rogus helped the Cardinals to a third-place finish at the NAIA National Championships back in March and was also announced to the All-Tournament team while also being named to the NAIA First Team All-American team.

Rogus becomes the third-ever Cardinal to be named to the CSC Academic All-America team, joining Korey Reichard and Brendan Gossman, who earned the honor following the 2022-2023 season.

The 2024-2025 Academic All-America At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

The At-Large Teams for the Academic All-America program include bowling, competitive cheer, competitive dance, golf, lacrosse, swimming and diving, tennis, volleyball, and wrestling.

College Sports Communicators is a 3,200+ member national association for strategic, creative, and digital communicators across intercollegiate athletics in the United States and Canada. The organization was previously known as College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and was changed to its new name in August of 2022.

Members of the All-America team must have participated in at least 50% of the team's matches throughout the season while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.50. The student-athlete must also complete one full calendar year at the institution and reach sophomore athletic eligibility in order to qualify for the honor.
