Senior Spotlight - Women's Tennis

(Ann Arbor, MI) – Concordia Athletics would like to honor the Seniors of the Class of 2020 on the Women's Tennis team as well as the team's Champion of Character award recipient. This year's Seniors include Taylor Kahlstorf (SR/Munising, MI)f and Kayla Verhelle (SR/Clinton Township, MI).

Taylor Kahlstorff has attended Concordia for the past three years. She hails from Munising, Michigan, and is a Health Care Management major. Taylor says that the team's best quality is their strong faith in Christ and support for each other. Her favorite memory was defeating Defiance in a tie-breaker game in 2019. Taylor states that her time at Concordia has been life-changing.

Kayla Verhelle has attended Concordia for the past four years. She hails from Clinton Township, Michigan, and is an Exercise Science major. Kayla says that the team's best quality is that they are one big family that constantly supports each other. Her favorite memory was competing in her first tennis match as a Freshman. Kayla states that her time at Concordia has been exciting.

Each year, the Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference awards each team with a Champion of Character recipient. This year's award winner for the Cardinals was Charity Felton (JR/Fort Wayne, IN). Charity is a Junior from Fort Wayne, Indiana, that is majoring in Elementary Education.
