(Kansas City, MO) The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 16 team Football Championship Series. The #14 Cardinals made the tournament field for the first time in program history and will face #2 Reinhardt University on Saturday, November 18th in Waleska, GA.
After a record breaking season in which the Cardinals went 9-1 and achieved the school's highest ranking at #14 the Cardinals were an at-large bid. The Cardinals finished the Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) Mid-east standings at 5-1 with their only loss coming to the #1 ranked and 2016 National Champion, University of St. Francis. The Cougars secured the MSFA Mid-east League's automatic bid.
