Tai Sharpley - Assistant Coach - 2nd Season
Tai Sharpley enters her second season as the assistant softball coach at Concordia University. Her main duties include developing catchers and outfielders and assisting with all aspects of recruiting.
Sharpley came to Concordia University while serving as Co-Head softball coach for Detroit RBI since 2006. Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) program is a youth baseball and softball program sponsored by MLB in partnership with Think Detroit PAL and Orchard's Children Services. Tai also served as a student assistant coach at her alma mater, Norfolk State University, during the 2006-2007 season.
Sharpley was a pitcher and outfielder at Norfolk State University from 2002-2006, under head coach Kary Kankey. After her collegiate experience ended, she played Women's Semi-Professional Baseball with the Detroit Danger during the 2006-2008 seasons.
Sharpley earned a bachelors degree in Biology from Norfolk State University in 2007. She currently resides in Livonia and is employed by the City of Troy. Sharpley is also expecting her first child in January.
