Joshua Steffen - Head Coach
The 2007-2008 season marks the fourth full year for Josh Steffen as a the head coach of the Concordia Women's Basketball Team.

During the 2003-2004 season, Steffen was promoted to head coach in January just before the Concordia Invitational Tournament. As interim head coach, Steffen lead the Cardinals to a 2-7 finish that season.

Steffen guided the Cardinals to a 59-44 win over Concordia-River Forest on January 31, 2004, picking up his first career collegiate coaching win.

At the completion of the 2003-2004 season, Steffen had the "interim" tag removed from his title as he assumed the head coach position.

In each of his three full seasons as the helm, Steffen's squads have increased their win total from the previous year. Last season the Cardinals compiled the highest win total at Concordia since 2001 and the  best WHAC season in over six years.  The conference schedule included wins over Indiana Tech and eventual conference runner up Madonna which were the first victories over the Warriors and the Crusaders since the 2001 season.

Prior to coming to Concordia, Steffen held the position of Video Scouting Intern for the Milwaukee Bucks Basketball Team of the National Basketball Association. In addition to his duties with the Bucks, Steffen served as a junior varsity coach at Brookfield Academy High School. Steffen was also the head coach of the JS Warriors AAU Basketball Club from 2000 to 2002.

Steffen is a 2001 graduate of Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He received a B.A. in Communication from WLC and was a member of the Warriors Basketball Team. Steffen received his Master's degree from the United States Sports Academy in October of 2006.  Steffen also serves in the athletic department as assistant Sports Information Director.
