John Schnack has many things on his plate as he has two roles at Concordia University as a Technology Specialist within Information Technology Department as well as being the school's head coach for men's golf.
"We will focus on the mental aspect and drill home mechanics," said Schnack. "We must stress course management and playing smart golf."
Schnack send he will spend the summer month of practice getting to know the nuances of each golfer and teaching them his "play hard and play well" philosophy.
"More importantly, they should be comfortable playing in a Christ-centered atmosphere where while we want to play well, we are also going to have some fun too," Schnack said.
Schnack knows the Concordia system well, having been a graduate of Concordia University-River Forest in 1975 in Elementary Education with an emphasis on science.
Having temporarily settled into a residence on campus, Schnack will be seeking a home with his wife of 32 years, Debby. In addition to son Eric the Schnack's have two other children: Nick (who is entering his third year at Western Illinois University majoring in law enforcement) and Sam (who will be a sophomore at Lutheran Westland High School this fall).
