Justin Martin - Head Coach - 2nd Season
Justin Martin enters his second season at the helm of the Concordia Cardinals Volleyball Team. Coach Martin began his coaching career at Dartmouth where he was the captain and coach of the men's volleyball program at Dartmouth. In 2003 he was a volunteer assistant for Marie Larese's Dartmouth Women's Volleyball Team. After leaving Dartmouth he served as captain and coach of the Eastern Michigan Men's volleyball team until he joined the Kim Berrington's Eastern Michigan Volleyball Team as a voluntary assistant during the 2007 off-season. In 2007 Coach Martin joined Dan Kirchoff as his assistant coach here at Concordia and served in that role until Coach Martin took over the helm in 2009 when Coach Dan Kirchoff stepped down. During Coach Martin's tenure in the Ann Arbor area he has been a coach for Huron Valley Volleyball Club for the past 5 seasons and their 18U Head Coach for the past three seasons.
Ben Limback the Athletic Director at Concordia University said "while an assistant coach, we all have enjoyed working with Justin. He is a team player and has strong drive to succeed. As he continues to bring in quality young ladies, the future is bright for Concordia volleyball."
Martin himself has set goals of making the Cardinal program relevant again in the volleyball community with a long-term goal of challenging for a conference championship in the very competitive Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference also high on his list of desired accomplishments.
"I'm excited to be apart of the Concordia Family and I look forward to bringing in athletes that will uphold the traditions and values of our institution ," said Martin.
