Piotr Westwalewicz Image
Piotr Westwalewicz - Head Coach - 8th Season
Piotr Westwalewicz is the Volunteer Head Coach of the Cardinal women's soccer program, has been at the helm since the 2003 season. Piotr is entering his 8th season as the Cards Volunteer Head Coach. Westwalewicz is the all-time leader in wins for Concordia and currently has a record of 33-86-7 (including exhibition games) going into the 2010-11 season.
 
Westwalewicz has extensive experience having been the Michigan Premier Soccer Academy Director of Coaching since 2005, as well as being the former Olympic Development Program State staff coach as well as a Region 2 Staff Coach. Westwalewicz has his United States Soccer Federation A License and is an University of Michigan Alum.

Westwalewicz resides in Ann Arbor with wife Jennifer and daughters Zora and Dara.
 

Rachel Hinz - Assistant Coach - 1st Season

Rachel Hinz joined the Women's Soccer Staff in January 2010. Alumni of Concordia, Rachel played and started all four years (2002-2006) for the Lady Cards. Her duties as a Captain started in her sophomore year, when Head Coach Piotr Westwalewicz started coaching the team, and she continued to lead the team through her senior year. She was named to the NAIA All-Academic Team. She was a part of the 2005-2006 season which has been one of the Lady Cards best seasons to date.

Prior to joining the Cardinal squad, she was a four year Varsity Letter winner at St. Mary Catholic Central High School in Monroe, Michigan. While there she was named to the All-District Team and Academic Team and was part of the team's first League Championship title. In her senior year she led the team in passing and was named to the Monroe All- Region Team and the All-District Team. Rachel also played four seasons for the Monroe Angels Club Team.

Hinz graduated from CUAA in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in Art Education, with a Psychology minor and a Lutheran Teacher's Diploma. She took her first Call to Lutheran High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. In addition to teaching, she coached the Varsity Girls Soccer team. In the two seasons that she coached, the team posted a school record and boasted winning seasons. In both seasons, the team made it to the State Tournament and in the latter season, to the semi-finals. She also coached the Varsity Tennis Team.

Currently, Hinz serves as an undergraduate admission counselor at Concordia University and is entering her third year in that position. She also celebrates a Ministry Milestone as she begins her fifth year in LCMS Church Work. She is in the midst of completing her Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction at Concordia.

Jennifer Westwalewicz - Assistant Coach - 3rd Season

Jennifer Westwalewicz is entering her second season as an Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the Concordia women's soccer team.

Westwalewicz is the former Ann Arbor Arsenal Developmental Program Director, as well as the former Michigan Premier Soccer Academy Developmental Program Director and is a Certified teacher.

Ashley Gay - Grad Assistant - 2nd Season
Ashley Gay is entering her second season as the Graduate Assistant Coach for the Concordia women's soccer program.

No stranger to the Cardinal squad, Gay was a two-year player for Concordia after transferring from Schoolcraft College. Gay was one of the key components that lead to the transformation of the program into a viable contender in the very competitive Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference. Gay was name CUAA female athlete of the year in 2005-2006.

Prior to college, Gay played four years on the Varsity team at Pinckney High School. She was named best defensive player, All District, All Region Division I, Honorable Mention All State, and All District Team. She was also a member of Ann Arbor Arsenal.

Gay graduated in 2007 with a BA in Liberal Arts, and is currently a project manager for a cancer research group at the University of Michigan. Gay is currently enrolled and carrying a 3.9 GPA in the Organizational Leadership & Administration Graduate Program at Concordia. Additionally, Gay is working on her MBA.
