Kate Edge enters her second year as Spirit Director and Head Cheer Coach at Concordia.

"I am excited to be at Concordia and begin the recruiting process for the new teams. I think being able to offer athletic scholarships for cheer and dance will bring top-notch athletes to Concordia and help us build a successful program."

Edge is the Director of Operations at CHEER! MICHIGAN which helps to train all levels of cheer athletes across Michigan. She is a national cheer coach's conference speaker where she presents on team and program building for cheer coaches and athletes. She is a member of the American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Advisor, The National Spirit Federation, and has coached cheer at the high school level in Michigan and Ohio.

Edge is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University (BA, MA) and lives in Woodhaven with her husband Jeff and three children.

This is Nina Doigan's first year coaching dance at Concordia University. Her backround includes not only studio but collegiate dance team experience. She is also a former member of the EMU Dance Team performing at football, volleyball and basketball games. While Nina got her start in coaching through local High School teams, she grew up dancing at Dance Dynamics and Cornelia's School of Dance. Nina is classically trained in both Cecchetti and Russian forms of ballet. Early on she also began her training in tap, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical and pointe. Nina also works across the state doing choreography for studio's, musical theatre, high school dance teams, cheerleading teams, and currently works at Ann Arbor Dance Classics as a dance instructor. Nina says, "I have been enjoying every second of my team and my experience at Concorida. I can't wait to continue to work towards a successful, talented and nationally ranked team in the future."
