The Concordia University Baseball program is excited to announce the signing of Garden City High School standout Nathan McHugh.   Nate's honors include All-Observer 1st team,  All-District, All -Area, and All- Region. Nate excelled in the classroom as well as the ball field with a 3.0 GPA. The 2010 graduate will come to Concordia this fall and provide depth to an already solid pitching staff. The left hander went 7-2 with a 2.80 ERA with seven complete games and four shutouts. Nate amassed more than 100 strikeouts in two years with the Varsity program. Nate played for Coach Steve Herman on a Garden City squad that made it to the regional final this year. Nate plays summer ball for Coach Mike Kaczmarek (Former Concordia Coach and Alum).

Coach Ryan McCosky knew he saw a young man he liked when he saw Nate pitch at the district final in a hostile environment at Franklin High School. "You could tell that Nate wanted the ball and was ready to compete, he was a bulldog." We are excited to welcome Nate to the Concordia Community!
