Senior Craig Archer
(Feb. 25, 2010 - Ann Arbor, Mich.) -- Three Concordia men's basketball players were honored for their efforts in the classroom, while another pair were acknowledged for their work on the hardwood as the quintet joined head coach Ben Limback on the list of honorees by the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference.
Seniors Craig Archer (Sr. - Marysville, Mich.) and Kyle Barlow (Sr. - Howell, Mich.) earned their second All-Conference Academic selections while Brad Evans (Jr. - Livonia, Mich.) was named to his first selection. Both Archer and Barlow are Education majors, while Evans is enrolled in the Pre-Medicine program at Concordia.
Barlow was also selected as the team's representative to the Champions of Character team, joining Limback, who was chosen by his coaching peers as the Coach of Character.
On the court, Rocko Holmes (So. - Cadillac, Mich.) was rewarded for his strong sophomore season by being named to the All-WHAC Third Team. Holmes finished the year averaging 10.1 points and a team-high 6.5 rebounds.
Marius Williams (Jr. - Belleville, Mich.) was honored with not only being placed on the All-WHAC Second Team, but being selected to the All-Newcomer Team as well. Williams lead Concordia in scoring with 17.0 points per game, second in the conference, as well as having a team-high 94 assists and 50 steals.
The Cardinal season came to a close with a 67-58 loss in the opening round of the WHAC playoffs as Concordia finished 12-19 overall on the year.
