(Nov. 12, 2009 - Ann Arbor, Mich.) -- Five members of the Concordia women's soccer team were honored today by the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference for their work in the classroom and the character they displayed this season as the postseason honors were announced. Five Cardinals were named to the WHAC All-Academic team, while one of them was also cited as the team's choice to the conference Champions of Character team.
Betty Budd (Jr. - Willis, Mich.) and Brianna Sonnenberg (Jr. - Sawyer, Mich.) were named to the academic team for the first time while a trio picked up their second selection as Marie Negre-Collas (Sr. - Paris, France), Sarah Spader (Sr. - Warren, Mich.) and Amy Zuccarell (Sr. - Ottawa Lake, Mich.) are the team's repeat honorees.
Sonnenberg was also named the team's representative to the WHAC Champions of Character team.
