(Oct. 3, 2009 - South Lyon, Mich.) -- Jordan Marken continued his strong freshman season as the rookie from Dexter finished Saturday's WHAC Jamboree with a five-over 77 to lead the Concordia men's golf team with an 11th-place finish. However, the effort wasn't strong enough as the Cardinals finished in seventh for the tournament as no other golfer could break 85 on the afternoon.

Andy Myers of Siena Heights was the lone golfer on the links to break par as he finished one-under with a 71 to beat three other golfers by a stroke to win the individual title. Ethan O'Meara, who finished with an even 72 on the day, lead his Davenport squad to the team title as the Panthers shot a combined nine-over 297 to take home the championship.

As for the Cardinals, Sean Webb finished with a 14-over 86 to finish in a tie for 35th overall, with the remaining members of the team occupying the final four positions (save for one member of Indiana Tech who did not finish). Nate Hand shot a 91 on the day to finish 38th, with Brad Girling (98 - 39th), Tyler Schlitzkus (101 - 40th) and Kyle Barlow (103 - 41st) finishing out the rest of the Concordia rotation.

Concordia will be off the links for over two weeks until they wrap up the fall season on Oct. 19 with the final WHAC Jamboree as Cornerstone University hosts the seventh and final meeting.
