(Sept. 29, 2009 - South Lyon, Mich.) -- The Concordia women's golf team, playing in their final event of the season, had a much stronger second day of the two-day WHAC Jamboree #4 to move up to sixth place overall as they passed the Saints of Siena Heights, who had a withdrawn golfer and failed to complete the team score.  Berlynn Beaver, who struggled on Monday, knocked off 24 strokes from one day to the other to finish Tuesday with a 98 to lead the Cardinals.

Using the two-day scores, Brittany Villa followed up her Monday score of a 100 with a 103 to finish with the team-best 203 for the two-days. Kylie Golden was consistent as she registered back-to-back scores of 105, with Beaver finishing with a two-day total of 220. Elyse Schlump had difficulty on both days as she registered a 121 and then a 120 to finish 97-strokes over par with a two-day total of 241.

Megan Garrison of Indiana Tech came back strong from day one as she trailed the leaders by four strokes but her second round score of 76 catapulted her to the individual title by a stroke with a total 165, 21 strokes over par. Davenport's Caitlun Duval (who lead after the first round) and Abigail Hagan of Aquinas finished in second with scores of 166.

The Saints of Aquinas won decisively as the finished with 717  strokes, 12 ahead of the Crusaders of Madonna and 13 in front of Indiana Tech.

When all was said and done, Concordia finished in sixth as the Cardinals were 43 strokes behind fifth-place Cornerstone.
