(April 28, 2009 - Ann Arbor, Mich.) -- The Concordia women's soccer program added to their depth as they signed three players to Letters of Intent this past week. The new Cardinals are Christine Barker of Ann Arbor Huron, Brooke Hogan of Ypsilanti Lincoln and Ashlyn Volz of Providence Christian High School. While Barker plays the outside midfield position, both Hogan and Volz are goalkeepers.

Barker is transferring to Concordia after recently attending Washtenaw Community College while Hogan and Volz are coming directly from the high school ranks.

Hogan was a two-year varsity player for Lincoln while receiving an academic varsity letter all four years of her prep career. Additionally, Hogan was named captain of her squads for the 2006 and 2008 seasons, while being her team's Most Valuable Player in 2006.

Volz was her school's salutatorian, while also being named Honorable Mention All-Area and Honorable Mention All-District for her on-field accomplishments.
