(April 25, 2009 - Grand Rapids, Mich.) -- Courtney Willis (Sr. - Port Sanilac, Mich.) earned her highest finish of the season - and her brief career - in the women's long jump at Aquinas College on Saturday as her distance of 4.63 meters saw her finish in fourth overall to lead the Concordia women's outdoor track and field team. Chloe Metcalf was sixth in the event (4.19 meters) and Johanna Barz eighth with a jump of 3.72 meters. The jump for Willis was also a personal record.
Metcalf joined Adora Morrow in the women's 100-Meter Dash as Metcalf finished in eighth with a time of 14.77 while Morrow had a very good performance with a time of 14.15 for fifth overall.
Morrow and Willis would team together in the women's 200-Meter Dash as they would finish in eighth and ninth, respectively. Morrow had a slightly better time as she finished with a time of 28.82 while Willis would cross at 29.93.
The event was in lieu of the Gina Invitational at Hillsdale as the Cardinals opted instead for more familiar foes in the field that headed to Aquinas.
The outdoor season concludes with the WHAC Championships which will be May 1 at Olivet College.
