New Card Katelyn Gilbert
(April 17, 2009 - Ann Arbor, Mich.) -- The Concordia women's soccer team has signed their first recruit for the coming fall after they were able to receive a Letter of Intent from Katelyn Gilbert, who recently completed a two-year career at Schoolcraft College in Livonia.
Gilbert brings the experience attained by playing for a nationally respected junior college power in Schoolcraft after a stellar prep career at Milford High School. As a Mustang, Gilbert was the team's captain and the offensive Most Valuable Player in her senior campaign.
At Schoolcraft, Gilbert helped lead the team to a #7 ranking nationally as well as personally being named to the Dean's List for her academic achievements.
Gilbert, a defenseman, is the daughter and Deborah and Donald Smith and will study Business at Concordia.
