(September 26, 2008 - Canton, Mich.) -- In the first of back-to-back conference meets, Bill Dorow (Sr. - Waterloo, NY) lead the men's golf team with his best round of golf of the season as he shot a 81 over 18-holes with Kyle Barlow (Jr. - Howell, Mich.) right on his heels with an 84. Overall, the team finished with a total of 350, which was good for a seventh place finish in the third WHAC Jamboree of the fall season.
 
Davenport won the team competition as the Panthers shota combined 280 on the afternoon at the Pheasant Run Golf Course in Canton, home of the Concordia Cardinals. The Panthers had two golfers tie for the individual award as Nick Boone and Jeff Gelinas each shot a single-round of 68 with teammate Zac Bested one stroke behind.
 
As for the Cardinals, Brad Girling (Fr. - Warren, Mich.) finished third on the team with a round of 89, 17 strokes over par. Dan Mendenhall (Sr. - Traverse City, Mich.) and Tyler Schlitzkus (Fr. - Gladwin, Mich.) finished with single-round totals of 94 and 96, respectively. Jacob Edwards (Fr. - Ypsilanti, Mich.) was unable to finish his round.
 
On the women's side, Concordia's Kylie Golden finished her round 28 strokes over par with a score of 100.  Caitlin Duval of Davenport shot a remarkable 71 to win the individual award as she was the lone golfer to finish under par. Jordan Essman of Indiana Tech finished two strokes behind, while no other golfer was within 10 strokes of Duval.
 
The Warriors of Indiana Tech finished with a team total of 335 to win the team award for the event.
 
The golfers will have little rest as the fourth WHAC Jamboree is Saturday at Madonna.
