(September 20, 2008 - Fort Wayne, IN) -- The Concordia men's soccer team (0-2, 0-2 WHAC) dropped their second game in as many tries Saturday on the road against Indiana Tech as the Warriors defended their home turf with a 3-0 win over the Cardinals to pick up their first conference win of the season.
After a total of only four shots on goal by the Cardinals in the first half, the Concordia offense would match that offensive effort after the intermission. The Warriors, however, scored two goals (one by Elliott Everson and the other by Nick Abdoo) at the 48:14 and 58:58 mark, respectively.
Cardinal keeper Brian Kressbach (Jr. - Clinton Township, MI) collected six saves on the day, while his counterpart for Indiana Tech, Kyle Spangler, stopped five.
Concordia will look for their first win of the season at Rummel Field on Wednesday against conference opponent Siena Heights. The Cardinals will look to avenge two losses to the Saints a year ago while hoping to pick up their first win of the season.
