(September 9, 2008 - Ft. Wayne, Ind.) -- The fall conference golf schedule got underway Wednesday afternoon with the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference teams meeting in northern Indiana for Jamboree #1. The Davenport Panthers cruised to a 12-stroke to take the team title with Madonna's Steve South taking home the individual honor. Freshman Tyler Schlitzkus (Fr. - Gladwin, Mich.) was the leader for the Concordia Cardinals, finishing with a single-round of 85, 15 strokes off the lead.

Concordia finished the afternoon in seventh place in the first conference matchup of the season. The Cardinals were 67 strokes off the lead for the day.

Behind Schlitzurs was Kyle Barlow (Jr. - Howell, Mich.), who shot an 88 in his first collegiate golf outing. Bill Dorow (Sr. - Waterloo, NY) and Jacob Edwards (Fr. - Ypsilanti, Mich.) rounded out the field of golfers whose scores counted for the team total. Both Dorow and Edwards finished with a 92, while Brad Girling (Fr. - Warren, Mich.) and Dan Mendenhall (Sr. - Traverse City, Mich.) finished with scores of 107 and 108, respectively.

On the women's side, Kylie Golden, Concordia's lone female golfer, finished with a single-round of 106, 30 strokes off the lead.
