Senior Anthony Bates
(February 27, 2008 - Ann Arbor, Mich.) -- Guard Anthony Bates (Sr. - Detroit, Mich.) finished a stellar career by being named to the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Second Team. Last season, the guard was named to the All-WHAC Third Team, giving him back-to-back all-conference selections. Joining Bates was fellow back-court mate Marquis Turley (Fr. - Grand Rapids, Mich.), who was named to the All-WHAC Third Team.
Kyle Thoms (Sr. - Ft. Wayne, Ind.) made it two seasons in a row as being the Cardinal's representative on the WHAC Champions of Character men's basketball team.
Also honored was Scott Spencer (Jr. - Armada, Mich.), who was the lone team representative on the Academic All-WHAC team. Players who earn a minimum of a cumulative 3.25 grade point average and of a junior or senior status are eligible for the team.
