(October 20, 2007 - Ft. Wayne, IN.) -- The Concordia men's soccer team had one final chance to gain a conference victory when they traveled to Indiana Tech on Saturday.  The Cardinals could not generate any offense in the match and the Warriors scored twice in the first half and took home the 2-0 victory.

The Concordia Cardinals (0-15, 0-12 WHAC) defense toughened up in the second half of Saturday's conference match as they shut out the Warriors of Indiana Tech during the game's last 45 minutes.  However Tech had already scored two goals in the first half and that was all they would need to claim the win.

The shot total was lopsided in the favor of the host Warriors (5-11, 3-9 WHAC) as they attempted 23 shots to only three by the Cardinals.  Goalkeeper Brian Kressbach (So., Clinton Township, MI) saved 7 of the Tech shots but the two that got past him in the first half turned out to be the difference in the game.

While the young Cardinal squad was not able to claim a conference win this season they will have one final chance to break into the win column when they travel to Rochester College on Monday October 22nd.  The game will bookend the Cardinals schedule as Rochester was also Concordia's opponent for the season opener.  The Warriors won that matchup in August by a 2-0 score.  The match is scheduled for a 4 PM start.
