(Delaware, OH) Concordia Track & Field traveled south last weekend to compete in the Ohio Wesleyan Marv Frye Invite. Bryant Hudson, Katherine Harris, and Tyler Pummell highlighted the meet for the Cardinals with second and third place finishes in their respective events.
-Bryant Hudson ran a season's best 15.19-second race in the 110 hurdles to come in second and finished seventh in the 200m at 22.89 seconds.
-A 1.53m (5'0.25") leap from Katherine Harris landed her third overall in the high jump competition. Saturday was the freshman's third top-three finish in her young career, and her first in the outdoor season.
-Tyler Pummell added nearly two feet to his shot put performance from a week ago throwing 13.56m (44'6"). The toss put him in second followed by teammates Justin Blanch and Josh Berry in sixth and seventh, respectively.
-Rebecca McDonald crossed the line in fifth place in the 100 hurdles. Her time of 16.55 seconds was a new personal record.
-Connor Blanch threw the discus 39.27m (128'10") to claim the fifth spot with Cardinals Paul Zysk (38.98m / 127'11") and Tyler Pummell (38.50m / 126'4") taking sixth and seventh.
Concordia expects to see fellow Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference competition at Thursday's Don Kleinow Memorial Invitational at Siena Heights University. Events will begin at 1:00 p.m. at O'Laughlin Stadium on the Saint's campus in Adrian, Michigan.
