(Sept. 12, 2007 - Grand Rapids, Mich.) -- The 2007 Fall WHAC men's golf schedule opened at Quail Ridge Golf Course in Grand Rapids with the Davenport University squad narrowly beating Aquinas College by four strokes to win the team title by a combined score of 302. Nick Boone of Davenport shot an even round of 72 to win the individual honor.

 

For Concordia, Bill Dorow (Jr. - Waterloo, NY) finished 11 strokes off the lead with a final round of 83 to finish in a tie for 23rd. The remaining Cards struggled on the afternoon as they were five of the last six finishers: Bobby Morrison (91 - 37th); Kevin Maust (94 - 38th), Robert Moore and Mike Music (97 - 40th) and Tim Morgan (98 - 42nd). Concordia finished with a team total of 365 on the day.

 

The Cardinals will return to the links on Saturday for the second WHAC Jamboree at the Lenawee Country Club in Adrian hosted by Siena Heights University.
