The Concordia Men's Basketball team enjoyed a decisive victory in a rematch against conference opponent Siena Heights this past weekend, improving their overall record to 11-10 and their WHAC record to 7-4. Respectively, Siena Heights would fall to 6-16, with a 3-7 conference record.

The Cardinals got off to a slow start against the Saints on Saturday, missing their first five field goal attempts to fall behind quickly 7-0. After an early timeout to regroup, Concordia held Siena Heights to a modest lead, never falling more than 8 points behind in the first half and battled to claim a 15-point lead that would carry them into the second part of the game. In the second half, the Saints would only ever cut that lead to 13. A 10-point run before the 10-minute mark would hurdle the home team to a 26-point advantage that would prove too difficult for Siena to overcome. The Cardinals bested the Saints 93-70 and took solitary possession of third place in the WHAC, just ahead of the 6-4 Crusaders from Madonna University.

Rocko Holmes was the weekend's top performer recording his sixth double double of the season with 19 points and 11 rebounds. John Schaeffer sunk five 3-pointers to finish with 17 overall points, while Andrew Patrick contributed 12 points to the Concordia victory. The Cardinals will take on U of M Dearborn this coming Wednesday before heading to Chicago next weekend for the annual Concordia Invitational Tournament (CIT). Good Luck Cards.
