(Ann Arbor, MI) - Concordia University Ann Arbor is proud to announce the signing of Kevin Collica. Kevin will join the Cardinal baseball program this fall and bring with him some much needed depth to the middle infield and also provide some support off the mound. The right hander played under Coach John Graybill at Anchor Bay High School and batted .417 his senior season.

The women's golf team will be kicking off its second season this fall. They are returning all four golfers from last season, during which they finished 6th out of 7 teams in the WHAC. They are hoping to improve on that this season. Coach Matt Distelrath is excited to have the leading golfer from his team, Kylie Golden returning, hopefully leading an improved and more confident team to an even better finish.

The Cardinals golf team is ready to build off of last year's solid freshman class. There is a saying that the best thing about freshman is they become sophomores. The implication is freshman can be quite inconsistent and frustrating at times. I think Coach Matt Distelrath would disagree. Two players that had solid freshman campaigns return with their sights set high. Jordan Marken was second in the WHAC in freshman scoring average last season and hopes to continue to improve. Coach Distelrath thinks Marken has the skill set to break some of the school records and a skill set to help this golf program continue in the right direction. The other sophomore who has a chance to have a nice second season is Nate Hand.
